Winter 2003 part 3

Below are various shots of the car in different stages, some showing the changes I made and others just showing the car painted. Hope you enjoy

Mike

Flip Top Gas Cap from 68 Charger

I saw this done to another Dart in Mopar Muscle and I thought I would give it a shot. I think it came out very good.

Finished Trunk

After widening the wheel wells, it became obvious I needed to finish the trunk area, so my answer was to carpet the whole thing.

Finished underside
Before the springs were moved the widest tire to fit under the car was a 245/60 , nowI run 295/50/15 with room to spare
Fresh Motor
Can clean the car up without freshing the motor. Nothing major was done to it this winter, but Cathy still says she wants a tunnel ram or blower in the future. YEAH!!!
Painted

My good friend Jon and I painted the car. It is a metallic lapis paint with alot of metallic in it. We have never painted a car before and I think it came out pretty damn good. It only took 5 30 packs of beer to finish!!

Wet Sanding sucks, but it does make the finished product look great!

The motor goes in next weekend 4/17/04

Another view of the rear wheel/tires
I kept the rear end stock width and had a set of custom Cragar SS made from Stockton wheel. Thet are 15x10's with 7 1/2" backspace. They did a great job.
